Where and how can I sign up for my first class?
That’s easy! Click here to sign up online for your first class. You can also call us to reserve your spot.
It’s my first class! What can I expect?!
Before your first training session, we ask that you show up early (about 15 minutes before start time) to get prepped. First, you’ll have to fill out a waiver (if you haven’t already signed it online). Then, you’ll meet with your trainer, who will show you how to wrap your hands properly. During this time, you’ll be told what you can expect from the class, so your mind is sharp and focused.
What should I wear to class and should I bring anything with me?
Comfort during class time is vital. Be sure to wear workout gear and shoes that are easy to move around in. As for what you should bring with you, we strongly advise you to bring a water bottle because you’ll be moving around and sweating a lot, so you’ve got to stay hydrated. We have a water fountain on-site, so you can refill it as needed. We also think it’s a wise idea to bring a lock with you so you can stow away your personal belongings in our locker room cubbies.
Is Panda Boxing the right choice for me if I’ve never boxed before?
The answer is yes! All fitness levels are more than welcome to participate. If you arrive early for class, you can speak to your trainer about your expectations and goals, and they can put you at ease. You’ll get a breakdown of all the boxing basics, so you’ll feel adequately prepared.
Should I bring my boxing gloves and wraps?
We’ve got you covered: you can purchase hand wraps here at Panda Boxing. We offer boxing glove service! The best part is that they’ve been created exclusively for Panda Boxing members, so they have our signature look, and badass feel to them. If you already have the equipment at home, feel free to bring it with you.
Am I going to be fighting against other members?
No, you won’t be fighting in the ring at Panda Boxing. What we’re doing is teaching you boxing techniques, and proper form the same as any boxer would learn to help you get into peak physical shape.
Will these classes transform my body?
You’re going to see a lot of positive changes to your physique after just a few workouts. You may have heard this kind of work out will bulk you up—but that isn’t true. You’ll start seeing long, lean muscles in no time. You’re going to get fit—quick. With our workouts, you’ll burn more than 500 calories per class and, over time, radically start to tone up.
Is there parking available?
No, we don’t have parking on our premises. Panda Boxing is located in the heart of Old Montreal, so finding a spot to park might be tricky, especially during business hours. The most convenient way to get to us is by taking the metro. We’re a short, three-minute walk from the Square-Victoria-OACI station. If you absolutely do plan on driving before an early morning class, you’ll be more likely to find a spot outside of rush hour. Parking is free before 9 a.m. on weekdays and Saturday, and before 1 p.m. on Sundays.
What happens if I’m late for class?
Being late happens, don’t worry! But if you think you’ll be late for a class, we would greatly appreciate it if you can call us ahead of time. Otherwise, we might give your spot to a standby student. We’ll hold your spot for about five minutes before we relinquish it to someone else who was there on time.
What do I do if I need to cancel a class?
You can very easily cancel your class free of penalty using the MindBody app. Just be sure to cancel up to three hours before the class is slated to start to avoid losing your space. If you skip class and haven’t cancelled, you will be charged the full amount.
I’m worried about my fitness levels. Will I be able to keep up with the rest of the class?
You better believe it! Don’t worry if you’re just starting out—our trainers are here to encourage you and offer support on your fitness journey. We bet you’ll surprise yourself, too and you’ll be able to keep up in no time at all.
Can I still workout at Panda Boxing if I’m injured?
If you’ve sustained an injury, we kindly request that you check with your doctor before working out at Panda Boxing. If your doctor says that it’s alright for you to exercise, we can always modify the workout according to the movements you are able to do so that you can still put in the work.
Can I perform these workouts if I’m pregnant?
If you’re pregnant, check with your doctor to see if these high-intensity movements are safe during pregnancy.
